RatPack was already getting traffic. The challenge was connection. Without Shopify-style data and events, the list was hard to segment, follow-ups were generic, and post-booking emails weren’t doing anything to deepen trust or drive repeat rentals.
We started by solving the infrastructure problem. Custom events and data architecture were built from scratch so we could trigger flows based on real traveler signals: destination interest, booking stage, pickup location, trip dates, and vehicle type.
Pre-booking sequences nurtured inquiries with destination content, route recommendations, social proof from past travelers, and availability-based urgency. Someone browsing campervans in Cairns got different content than someone looking at motorhomes in Christchurch.
Post-booking flows delivered value at every stage leading up to the trip: what to pack, road trip itineraries, local tips for their specific route, and add-on experiences timed to when they’d be most relevant.
Post-trip, the system shifted to retention. Follow-up sequences captured reviews, shared trip memories, and introduced the next destination at the right moment. Someone who did the East Coast of Australia got nudged toward New Zealand for their next adventure. The goal was to make the second booking feel like a natural next step, not a cold re-sell.
